As the weather slowly makes the change toward autumn so does our wardrobe. To embrace that change this year we will be bringing you a Five Fall Favourites series.
Each week will bring a new collection of our five favourite somethings. This week we wanted to show you our Five Favourite Nail Polishes for fall.
Nail polish is an easy way to spice up an outfit or put the finishing touches on one. It’s as simple as choosing a colour to add contrast or to blend in.
I personally like to use the time it takes me to do my nails as a bit of time for myself. It can be hard to get away sometimes, but taking time for something as simple as nail polish reminds me that it is important and I can make time for it.
For our Five Fall Favourite Nail Polishes we chose some bold colours that will look great with just about anything you wear this season.
Our Five Favourites are:
I love a good Glitter Nail Polish! I often do one accent nail that stands out, and often its a sparkly one.
The great thing about the Summit of Style polish is that its actually many different sizes of glitter making it very eye catching. It is meant to be worn as a Top Coat, but it looks great on its own as well.
This beautiful Espresso brown shimmer is perfect for a dark manicure. It is bold and moody without being full goth. When the light catches the copper and red tones of the shimmer it really brings the colour to life.
This is one of those colours that is never quite what you expected. The company lists the colour as a black gold chrome but it looks like an olive green shimmer in the bottle. On your nail it becomes an intriguing mix of the two.
4. China Glaze - You Don't Know Jacket
This is the perfect navy nail polish. Dark but not black (not that I don't love a black manicure, Its one of my favourites), bold, and sophisticated. Navy pops with all of the best colours of fall and this polish will pair with anything!
This burgundy polish has the most beautiful shimmer and flawless coverage. I struggle when buying red nail polish because I am always afraid of the mess if I get it on my skin. Keep a wooden nail pusher and some polish remover handy, just in case and give this bold colour a go. Its totally worth giving it a try, red messes and all.
